Sun and Sea Lions

What a beautiful summer day at La Jolla Cove! After yesterday's clouds and rain, we were luckily met with blue skies and calm water this morning. The water visibility was excellent; we could see all the way to the bottom of the rocky reef where our orange Garibaldi fish live. Once we arrive at the Clam Cave, we encountered dozens of sea lions! These playful creatures swam right underneath our boat, and we were lucky enough to capture some photos. A few sea lions joined us on the tour, floating along as we visited the different caves; others were content to sleep the day away on sunny rocks. All-in-all, a perfect day for kayaking and caving.
